The Playback of Various Aspect Ratios on a TV Set
There is alot of confusion out there among beginning producers concerning the playback of various aspect ratios. If your video appears stretched on television set, perhaps the video was shot in widescreen format and you are viewing on a television that only displays a 4:3 image. This article provides graphic examples of what Anamorphic and Non-Anamorphic video looks like when being delivered in various aspect ratios.
