The latest supported decks for Avid Express Pro
Avid editing products support a number of videotape decks from many manufacturers. The decks can support full edit capabilities, or only record or play functions. Avid provides deck control capabilities through either a direct serial connection or a V-LAN/VLX connection. Macintosh systems support serial decks. Windows systems support serial decks and DV cameras and decks (for systems with the DV/MPEG option) - 11.8_supported_decks_serial.htm. Avid engineers have spent many hours keeping up with and testing many different decks. Check out the full list of supported decks just remember if your deck is not listed it still might work with the generic deck settings that Avid provides.
