Avid Express Pro and Digital Audio Scrub
Have you ever wanted to hear pieces of your audio while you drag the blue indicator bar through your timeline? Well, there is great feature in Avid call Digital Audio Scrub. This is a great way to locate audio cues in either your sequence or source clips. The first thing you need to do is select the tracks you want to scrub by Alt clicking the Speaker icon next to the track and this will turn it gold. Avid will try and scrub as many tracks as it can, as long as the track is on, but if you make them gold this will ensure you at least hear those tracks. Now press the Caps Lock key to activate Digital Scrub for full time-scrubbing or press hold down the shift key for part-time scrubbing.
You now are a scrub master!
